Couch to 5k
At the start of the year we offer Couch to 5k running groups. These are aimed at those with little-to-no running experience. The idea is to ease people into running using the Couch to 5k program created by the NHS. It's usually recommended that participants run 3 times per week.
By the end of the 9 week program you should be able to run 5k or 30-minutes continuously. The program uses intervals of running and walking to build up cardiovascular fitness. To celebrate the end of the program we arrange an optional meet-up at a local Parkrun (free 5k events held every Saturday).
